bugshield's lund inter. or stampede?
I was all set to purchase a bug shield today.
The guy who sells both lund & stampede versions said the stampede fit's the f150 nicer than the lund interceptor? Anyone have any thought's on either? How do these mount to hood? From what I understand both allow cleaning from behind. ------------------ 2001 Supercrew XLT 4X4 BLACK W/DARK GRAPHITE 5.4 EFI V8 17" 10 SPOKE'S 3.55 LIMITED SLIP ENGINE BLOCK HEATER SKID PLATE'S POWER MOONROOF SLIDING REAR WDW. FALLSCREW, I personally like the EGR brand. There made in Austrialia, and use factory holes. The fit and finish are excelent. I have personally installed several and like the quality.

FallScrew...I got the Lund "Trident". It's all a matter what looks good to you. Got mine through truckperformance.com for $64.00 and free shipping.
Mounts in exiting holes and does not touch the hood. No drilling! <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by FALLSCREW: I was all set to purchase a bug shield today. I have the Lund Interceptor and love it, factory holes with plastic push in fasteners.

Looks like you found something else to add. To add to your choices and confusion. I installed the GT Styling's OMNI Bug guard. www.gtstyling.com Uses factory holes and with a plastic moly screw type arrangement plus two clips and velcro pads on each end. It is VERY secure and looks good. It installed in less than 15 minutes and can be easily removed. Sale price at VIP Auto was $60. ------------------ Gen III Lariat, 5.4L, 4X4, Oxford White/AZ Beige, Beige leather bench seats, Ford Steps, Sliding RW, 3.55 LS Added - WeatherTech window covers, Omni bug deflector, DrawTite Class III hitch, Husky Rear molded flaps, Custom rubber bed mat, SportMasters hinged vinyl tonneau |
so.nh screw,
I also purchased a set of weathertec window visor's that I'll be picking up on thursday. That's when I plan on picking up the hood sheild.I had a package of ventvisor's here at home & have been waiting for warmer weather to install them.I took them back & ordered the weathertec's $49.95 at a local truck store.I like the no tape method & they sell & install both type's so i asked which they would recommend & they said weathertec by far. |
