Hot CD's

Is it me, does anyone else "burn" fingers when removing a CD? The in dash CD player gets so hot, I often get "CD Hot" warnings from the stereo. Am I the only one and is there a way to correct this?????

JBFire,
Check the search engine, I remember this same story with some sort of mod being offered by Ford? Maymbe a small fan on top of the radio?!?

My stereo has been in the shop for two weeks, awaiting the fan that they are going to mount on top.
Darn, just had to put the ol' Alpine back in...not patient enough to wait for those chuckleheads.

I ran the search, Mixman, and you're right. I found this thread on the same subject: https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/000685.html

I have the same problem....I can not play a CD for more than 1.5 hrs without the stupid thing flashing "HOT CD". Is this a Supercrew problem only or is this a problem with all of the new Ford's ???

What can I do and will Ford Fix this problem under warranty?

This is my only bitch about my new Ford!
