Just got Screw'd...What To Do?
Well I just sold my Stang and bought a Super Crew. I am feeling a little depressed because the Stang meant so much to me. To my wallet. To the numerous bloody knuckle nights we speant together. Now some little 16 yr old is terring off Ricers heads and blowing the doors off Z28s not to mention anything else if he knows how to drive. But me and the Fiancee needed a vehicle to do traveling in and I think I got the right one. All black laoded Lariate 4x4 which is sweet as it can be. I have decided not to do any performance mods to it. I have however decided that I want a better stereo system. I have the 6disc changer so what problems does that poes with changing the head unit (if possible at all). What have most of ya'll done stereo wise? I have never had a big bass system so I need help in this area. And any "must do" mods is information always welcome!
Thanks... ------------------ Sold my Stang for a Truck! What the hell got into me? |

chrishollis@hotmail.com. sorry this is off topic, but you shouldnt have a problem adding a headunit |
I feel for ya man!! https://www.f150online.com/f150board/frown.gif I have been reading this board for a week or so as I'm considering selling my 99 T/A for a Supercrew. Im just worried I'll miss my car and get board with a truck. I enjoy racing the T/A at HRP and have some money tied up in parts for it (heads/cam big convertor etc.) I have just felt maybe I could get more use from a nice truck. Things like go camping, carry my Mnt. bike, more room for trips. I also thought I would be less tempted to blow money on performance parts. https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gifI would be interested in hearing more of your thoughts and feeling about the trade off. Are you happy with your choice? Also what did you have on that stang? I'm sure you agonized over the choice, I am.

I think it ws a very good choice. I had so much wrapped up in that Stang and to put any more in would have just been crazy. I am talking this Stang had everything from ported heads to Baer 13" brake kit. All together it had about 14k put into her. There was nothing else to do except put in another motor and start over again. That just wasdn't going to happen. Anyway, the Crew is just a bad a$$ truck. It must be because I have never ever EVER wanted a truck until this one came out. I had to go fully loaded just to make up for not having my Stang anymore. Nothing else would of made me happy. God knows I will never find a place to use the 4x4! Well again I think it was a good choice! I love driving it and it will pull my 91LX Stang just fine when I find one LOL! I also just bought my Fiancee a 2k GT so that helps too. She wants it to be a 10sec car so I have my work to do on that! Anyway, I hope this helps your decision making process! By the way why would you not want to trade in your T/A Bwahahahaha! Sorry I still have a little Stang left in me https://smilecwm.tripod.com/net4/jump.gif

Your fiancee must be pissed, spending just 2000 bucks on her after you unloaded 30K for yourself. You'll find you can do much more with your S'crew than you'd ever imagine. Put a bedrug in and show her the inside of your bed.

What I was saying was a Year 2000 GT not a $2000GT. you might of known that, I just wanted to clarify.

Yo:
Look at it this way, you got yourself the best truck on the road that rides like a Lincoln...Now, I can't see anything wrong with that, do you? ------------------ 2001 F150 SuperCrew Lariat-4.6 V8-508A Lariat package-Dark Hiland Green-Leather Captains Chairs-P/U Bed Extender-RearSliding Window-Skid plate package-Cab Steps-Lower twotone paint-Power drivers seat/autolamp-Engine block heater-17" Chrome Wheels-Bed Liner |
Well I'm no brand loyalist, what ever is hauling ass is what I will buy when it comes to cars. Got my T/A running 11.7s in good weather and its real drivable. Have actually considered a 90-93 5.0 coupe if I do the truck thing. Stroke it and a turbo https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif I'v always been a fast car guy. 68 camaro, 90 5.0 GT, 98 Z28-6spd, 99 T/A A4. Its great for cruising and racing but in all other situations Im thinking the truck would be an advantage. To bad ya dont have that stang still I'd run ya for my down payment https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gifjk If I do it I will also go overboard and get the loaded up 4x4(real useful in Houston)hehe
P.S. theres a guy on here with a blown supercrew so dont kid yourself into thinking the mods ended when the stang left the garage! https://www.f150online.com/f150board/smile.gif |
