What's under the center console?
 

aside from the tranny of course:rolleyes:

I need to bolt down a mounting plate to the tranny hump directly under (inside) the center console, straight down from the cupholder area. There are already 2 sizeable bolts holding the console down, but I was wondering if anybody knows what else may be lurking under there. I doubt there is any wiring, but how far down is the tranny (or anything else of consequence) from the floor? Any plumbing or anything I might hit and seriously regret?

I am mounting a stand for a laptop and would like it to be good and solid.

Umm i bolted down a new seat mount for when i added a second bucket seat, and the floor is maybe 1/16th inch thick. You would be much better making a bracket that uses the existing hole, because the factory holes, have a deeper thread thats on the underside.
