I pull a Travel trailer that is about 6800lbs. I have the same setup as you except I have a 2003 4x4. It does a great job towing. The truck has a max combined weight (trailer &truck) of 12500 that you are not supposed to exceed. I am right at that and it tows pretty good, Kinda wish I had an F250 for those windy days, If you are planning on towing more than a few hours drive, I would probably either get a lighter trailer than mine, or a slightly bigger truck.
