How's this for a deal?
I just got a letter from my local dealership with this kind of deal:
1. Trade my 2003 R SCrew in and get 120% of the NADA trade-in value (about $27K based on the NADA site's calculator) 2. Employee discount on a new KR F250 SCrew (2005 or 2006) 3. All rebates applied to cost of vehicle. Using NADA, I dressed out a 2006 KR which yielded a $42K MSRP and a $37K invoice. A quick look at what I have left to pay on my 2003 and it seems that my monthly payment will stay about the same. This seems like a good deal to me, but it would help to know what the employee discount is related to Invoice price. :help: I'll also need to see if they will apply the 2005 rebates against a 2006. Watcha think? Dave... |
Good luck on getting rebates on the 2006. There are none, I've tried.

You're probably right, but it won't hurt to ask.
Which brings up another question: Does anyone know what the differences are between the 2005 and 2006? Since I do not plan to trade the next one in, the relative resale value is not a factor... |
That sounds like a good deal even on a 05. You’ll be moving into the new body style

I'll bet that your calculated NADA trade in value is not the same as what they are thinking.
