Exhaust dripping water
 

Hello,

Last weekend I got my new 2005 Lariat Supercrew. I notice that when I am parked at work during break and the truck is running the is a puddle of water under my truck. Tonight I was in the driveway and saw the water running out by the exhaust when I was putting a hitch cover on. Is this normal? Did the dealer just put cheap crappy gas in it? Thanks for any replies in advance.

Its perfectly normal. ;)

That is exactly correct.
The cat converter's operation at high temps results in water and some other gases being released.
Holes in the muffler are to let the water out.
Not all of it gets out along with condensation in the tail pipe. When enough builds up, the flow of gasses forces it out.

Like Phillip mentioned, the bi-products of combustion are, at a minimum, water and CO2.

I'll 4th that! Water from the tailpipe is pefectly normal since it's just condensation buildup from the breakdown of gases during combustion.

You may also see some water up by the firewall of the truck if you are running the defronster since the A/C will kick in during defrost mode and cause some condensation to drip out of the A/C drain hose by the firewall.
