Help!!

Just had a car alarm installed today ,I took it into Future shop which is kinda like Best buy. The alarm works great but I couldn't believe where they put the led light, it is right on the plastic part that surrounds the radio , heater controlls & vents, not in the front of it but right on top pointing towards the roof!!!!! . It looks like a big red pimple on the dash .I wish I had a picture for you but the wife has gone to the west coast for a week & took the digital with her.Is it possible to replace that part of the dash & mount the damn thing somewhere else , or can I get a different led for it ? The truck is only a month old ,03 supercrew I posted here cause I thought you guys would have some ideas .

You should be able to replace the cover, I had alrms w/remote starts put in 3 vehicles at BestBuy, they ask where you want the led or if you'd rather leave it out.

These guys never asked, they just went ahead & did it I tried to keep an eye on them but they wouldn't allow me into the work area so I had to watch from a distance .I left for 15 min's to get lunch ,came back & the dirty deed was done.I guess I can't complain too much cause they installed 2extra pins ,1 on tailgate &1 on folda-over, for free

Very simple to purchase a new 'bezel' as it's called. I'd check with www.fordpartsnetwork.com for the part as I've always had EXCELLENT service out of them. Tell them that Rockpick sent you torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com is the email address...

It comes off by simply applying pressure directly backwards away from the dash. It's mounted there with 'clips' that hold it in place.... no screws.

Good luck!

Thats the first problem, taking it to Future Shop! They may have some good deals at times, but from what I heard from others their just a buch of transient teenager employees that change over like the wind. Sorry you got burnt like that. I would like to think that most places would ask where a person would like the LED if at all.
