2001 s.crew. got 210k on the dash. Just rebuilt the front end. The bushings, control arms, tie rods, etc. Also new alternator just recently. New battery. Keeping up with oil changes. I dont see myself parting with this truck anytime soon. So thinkin about doing a motor swap to take it even further. And getting ready to do some light custom. Audio, wheels, new paint. Sure I can buy another truck... but where will the fun be in that. Better to build and custom then to buy IMO.

01 supercrew lariat HIGH miles

I have the 2001 F150 Lariat Supercrew 5.4L 4x4 - I bought brand new in 01, and currently have just below 270,000 miles.

Original everything.

Drivers window regulator just pooped out on me at 250k, and as of 1000 miles ago, the transmission is beginning to act up... The 4x4 still works like a beast though!

2001 F150 SuperCrew - 215,5000

I'm right behind TOFER765

I have a beautiful 2001 F150 Supercrew Lariat here in SW Florida with 215,800 miles and I just installed new Motorcraft plugs and all new coil packs. Bought it back in 2002 with 22,000 miles. MAN, this truck hasn't run this good in at least 2-3 years. I want to give some guys hope that are living with the chugging, missing, hesitation and lack of power. I'm 60+ and just changed all the parts myself - victory and still have it, man!

I've read in past other Ford forums about people saying you have to disconnect the fuel rails, etc or use anti-seize on the plug threads - you don't...."not on 2001 - 5.4 Triton".

Patience and the right sockets and swivels will give you much success. Any questions feel free to send me an email. Love to save you some time and aggravation.

I'm an old gear head from the 70's.

I got a 2001 F150 Lariat SCREW with the 5.4 engine in it and 4WD, and i am at 265,000. Had sold it back in 2004 and bought it back this December. Runs good, and also has bad mileage

I have 252K on a 2001 Supercrew. Just replaced intake manifold due to crack and blown intake gasket, has had tranny/rear end rebuilt, a/c work, altentator replaced, radio replaced. And the usually tune up items: plugs, COP's, K&N air fliter installed years ago. Next job is the intermittent odometer, which there is a great thread detailing the repair on this site.

I have a very low mileage 2001 5.4 4wd screw

218,000 miles, lol, the 2v motors are amazing.

Intake manifold is cracked so getting ready to replace it and go through all the accessories (alt, tensioner, pulleys, water pump) throw on a set of new MC cops/plugs and drive it another 100k+

I am going to push it until the engine goes. I am very curious how many miles it will go for.

My 2001 Supercrew 5.4 4x2 has 261,200 miles, about 100,000 of that pulling trailers or heavy payload. Bought it July 29, 2000, with 7 miles on it. Mechanically, rebuilt the differential twice, replaced upper and lower ball joints and almost all steering linkage and column. Just replaced the front wheel bearings last week.
