Turbos and Wastegate

I have a 2012 F150 ecoboost and I was hearing a whooshing noise when I got to 30mph. No light came on. I brought it to Ford and they said my wastegate on my passenger side was seized and my driver side was making noises and it was on the way out. They suggested I need 2 new turbos costing $3100. My question is why if my turbos and wastegate are bad why didn't a code trigger? Also the noise sounds like its coming from driver side. I had a code on catalytic converter on driver side when I replaced it, it really wasn't that bad. So do you think the turbo caused the code on the catalytic converter to go bad by not working right?

If the turbo isn't working right, then of course the engine isn't going to run correctly. It was probably making it run rich thus destroying the catalytic converter.

Good luck.
