Windsor: Yeah. Been a while for sure.

88Racing: Gonna look good all powder coated black with some bling pulleys.

Spoke to the builder on Monday and its as expected. Standard bore, quick polish etc etc. Gonna Align hone the mains, Clevite bearings through out. The Block build has priced up less than a bought Built Short block. Not factoring in the two 09 Heads.

Going Manley through out. 18CC pistons mmm. Custom made direct from Manley.

Pricing an oil pump up at the moment. Any recommendations?

Heads: Well we have priced out Manley valves +1mm Over sized exhaust, Comp Cam Springs and stage one Blower Cam (Springs and Phaser Mods) Custom CC work. Gonna keep that close to me chest.

Are you going for street or strip on this engine? Im not sure what size tires or gears you have, but I would go more cam depending on what you decide for max RPM and possibly go 4.30 or 4.56 gear depending on tire size. If you only plan to spin 6k then the smaller will probably do, I saw a guy spin a 5.4 3v to 7000 RPM (dont remember the youtube video name) but it was impressive and more what I would like to do. The GT500s with 5.4s spin to that all day long and dont see why a 3v couldnt do it.

Its a street truck fella. Probably not even push the power up until I prove the build, Not gonna spin it too fast as IDE have to update the valve train etc.

More Cam gonna mean lumpy Idle. The stage 1 Blower cam retains a decent tick over.

Running standard 3.73 gears.

Oh are you on stock trans right now and converter? 3.73 maybe ok with the blower cam (I dont know the specs of it) but 4.10s maybe needed to put the truck into the cam faster. Just something to think about. Thats all the details to be figured out later.

Av had a look at built trannys. Gmen tranny seems a decent set up?

Anyhow, plans change. Bought a Whipple blower for it, Fore hat, Electric water pump etc.

Gonna buy a whipple snout and run the seperate 8 rib belt. Thinking about a lightning elbow so I could run a larger TB. So what Electronic TB would mate up? (Same pattern as a Lightning) GT500? Have a V10 that might go?

Measured the Roush MAF, 100 x 105mm. No worries there.

Pic of blower.

I was looking at doing a possible mustang inlet but im not sure how well it will clear the firewall. You can then use a gt500 throttlebody seperate belt is always a good idea. I like where this build is going!

Yeah you bet. Never thought about a Mustang inlet. (Will search it out) Could maybe modify the firewall.

Only problem would be the Fuel Pressure sensor. Maybe a set of Metco rails and swap driver & passenger around?

The mustang I believe should work as they used the same blower. Firewall modification is ok to a point. Removing the dash to cut and weld would suck. Hammering a few dents not so bad.

^^ Oh yeah ^^^

Might throw the whipple straight on once I get the snout.

Keep it the same boost then I could run the built motor in. Then crank it up.

Might have a Lightning inlet. Wonder if the bypass would line up?

Could make an adaptor to mate a large single blade TB.

Frikin options are endless if you have the readys.

you gonna dyno it alone, and then in your truck when you get done? Or are you even going to dyno it?

Had a nice conversation with JDM about the snout. Might order it next week.

6.5" ring & 3" upper will give 10 psi there abouts.

Bought a modified Lightning Whipple inlet elbow for cheap. Probably wont fit but that's half the fun.

Also chopped the FPS and feed from a spare fuel rail and gonna TIG weld it to the other side.
