:: Roushcharging my 08 ::

Hi guys

Bought a Second hand Roushcharger kit for my late 08 (Some may have seen in on fleabay)

Anyhow, Picked it up today .. Its a little grubby as coolant leaked during shipping .. Also the pulley is damaged in transit FFS!

IC Manifold

Pretty much complete, Came with a Roush-cal PCM as well .. Only real things missing are the LTR, Pump and bottle .. Came with a few extra's like the PS pump & Bottle, TB, TPS, Fuel rail etc ETC etc etc ..

Wondering if anyone can help me with a few parts ..

1) The Lower adaptor, Between the balancer & caged pulley.

2) Stock or aftermarket snout pulley, Same size would be best.

3) LTR RAD, Iam thinking of buying a cheap Stang one, mounting it down low and shadowing ROUSH or Easton on it

I also need the vacuum bottle, Top rad hose and the PCV Pipe. I have sourced these but are expensive.

Questions:

1) Can I use the supplied PCM until I get an email tune?

2) It came with injectors, How can I tell if they are the higher flow?

3) What size relay for the IC Pump harness? & Fuse size?

4) What model SC is this?

I have half of the CAI if anyone needs it, Inc hose & Top cover & MAF. Also the other extras if anyone needs anything?

Help me please

Probably not. It's not likely to have the same box code you have.

2) It came with injectors, How can I tell if they are the higher flow?

The kit came with 39 lb. FRPP injectors. I'm not sure how you would identify by sight.

3) What size relay for the IC Pump harness? & Fuse size?

I'll have to look. You can download the instructions here.

4) What model SC is this?

Eaton M-112. The same model supercharger that came on the Lightning.

If you don't have the supercharger pulley, look into the Metco lower pulley set up for a Lightning. It's less weight and the +2 will give you another psi of boost over the Lightning unit that Roush used. You are going to need a new balancer. Your balancer is not drilled and tapped for the supercharger pulley. You need a 04-06 3v balancer. That air box is essential to work with that tune, that you probably can't use anyway. Should be no problem on getting a h/e as the Roush unit is nothing special and mounting it between the condenser and radiator is not an ideal location. I hope you bought it cheap.

1) Shame about the PCM. I will get the numbers off it and have a look.

2) Am sure the injectors are right. There gonna be sent off to be cleaned, flowed and all that crap. Again, I can get numbers if anyone could help.

3) The manual came with the SC. No reference to the relay specs. Just gonna make the harness.

4) M-112. Thanks for that. Couldn't find a model number online.

I have the lower caged pulley, it's the adaptor I need, am sure the lighting guys will have one # XL3Z6A329AA. The metco lowers are $250 although I missed a twin set on eBay that went for $117. Am pretty pained the top pulley has taken a hit. Wasn't expecting that. Gonna have to bite the bullet.

The correct balancer was bought for 38 bucks the same time I bought the 07-08 fan kit for 39 bucks.

Just gonna go aftermarket with the CAI unless anyone has the bottom section of the Roush kit?

Iam currently in talks with a guy about a h/e.

Cheap mmm what would you concider cheap?

Few pictures.

1) Injector ... Anyone know if these are correct?

2) PCM

Does anyone know the Ford Part # for the Vacuum tank? Just the tank .. Part # on top.

Also this is the adaptor I need .. Probably have to join the Lightning forums for this.

Just gonna make the CAI using the original supplied pipe and cut the MAF section off the airbox top and make a bracket to hold it blah blah ..

I see that theres an upgrade kit for a Saleen SC F150, It uses the same airbox set up so some company must be making them?

Can you get a full pic of the injectors? I think 39lb had a blue ring at the top like this:

No fella. They are black. The ones posted look like 42lb Roush now offer.

Well av searched and searched and searched and cannot find them numbers.

I think they are Multec 3.5?

The Roush supplied are apparently the Multec 3.5 - 38lb/hr but don't state an OEM part #

It's going to be a lightning component. Might want to check with the Ford parts counter or call Roush to see if they have replacement parts.

Pretty much sure it's the correct part. It comes as a twin tank set up on some 97 - 00 Ford trucks & SUV's.

Would be nice if the Roushcharged owners could take a look? Or even bother to comment!

Not bothering with Roush anymore. There only interested in 09+ F150's. Infact any "Nitemare" owners are looking a little sick parts wise.

Havent bothered with Ford as I know the part number for the whole assembly and it's pricey.

Anyone know about the PCV set up on these 08's?

The big line that runs from the Drivers rocker cover to the TB, it T's off to the bottom of the manifold. Is this special? I mean any check valves or anything in it? Could I make one? Can you buy the clip-on special ends?

Just bought this DUB pulley and hub ..

Only ONE last little part that I cannot find (Well found it but its $$$)

The PCV Hose from the Roush Kit

PCV From the early kit .. Got a Ford part # but cannot find any info.

Anything special about the Hose? Not including the price

Could I just cut the ends off the original, Buy some proper hose & T piece?

Dont be shy

Thanks fella. Thought I was the only one with a Roushcharger for a minute.

I bought a vacuum tank the other day for $16 shipped. It's part of the twin tank set up that comes on some older trucks & SUV's.

Near have everything for the kit now. The SC is going to see 'The man' to have some work done then it's all systems go.

Now to decide on a tune?

Ha Ha Ha am just playing .. Was hoping the "Armchair Engine & Supercharger experts" that have yet to Comment would pipe in .. I used a 3 jaw puller .. Little tight at first but Worked a treat fella You can see the damage to the pulley in the pic .. No damage to the rear after pulling it off with the 3 jaw ..

We have a Chevy PS pump tool that will work for the new DUB adapter install

P.S: Good link .. I havent see the pulley tool that cheap ..
