Eaton M112 on a 4.2

i recently joined a local forum and have been talking to a guy with an eaton m112. im pretty sure it was on a 3.8 essex v6 in a mustang and so im trying to do some research here.

im wondering what all will be involved in putting an eaton m112 on my essex 4.2. will it be semi bolt up with minor modifications? and what all will be involved to do something like this. most i know is intake and manifold, exhaust work and tune.

any help is appreciated as i think it would be a fun project and put some life into my truck.

I can't answer your specific question, but if someone makes a supercharger manifold for the 3.8, then your homework should be geared toward determining if the 3.8 and 4.2 share similar heads and whether there are differences in block deck heights. If the intake manifold is interchangable between these two engines, chances are you could make it work.

My memory is poor, but I believe that member WLF tried this swap, but on a 4.6? I would think that the M90 Eaton would be a closer fit. You might try doing a search of WLF's earliest posts.

I did some searching on it and apparently the fuel rails have to be modified and there is a mounting plate that can run from 300 to 900 bucks

I'll look up wlf too

You can try this place as well, they sell an adapter so owners can slap on an eaton.
The adapter info is below the white flying truck and above the lady on their main page.

Jake, SSM makes an adapter plate for the M112 onto our trucks. Problem is, dang thing costs $900. Then you wont be able to run much boost before needing to upgrade a few internals and such. I have thought about it many times....
