The waste gate idea is complicated. You will not get it to tune if you allow metered air which has gone through the maf to discharge. Here's the device chucks_bp and I are using - the 3/4" one, or the 1" one might be better.

Only way to do that is converting to a blow thru maf.Like ONELOWF sed,all measured air needs to go into the engine, otherwise your tune is useless.
Im in the process of switching to a blowthru and venting to atmosphere.I just got Justin's maf upgrade:

Im putting the maf just before the t/body.

Once you go blothru,an adjustable wastegate coupled w/ a higher boost pulley sounds interesting.Complicated, but interesting.

Actually I am using a boost limiter with a 90MM lightning mass air, I am returning the air back to the intake elbow near the bypass valve return location. I have had this system on for over a month now and it has worked perfectly, No problems with air/fuel ratios or check engine light. I am very happy with the set-up!!!

Heres a pic of the maf I got.It comes w/ a built in iat sensor.Only thing is this setup wont work w/ the 2.5 inch pipe.I upgraded to 3" piping which is ideal for this maf.

My change over to blow through is in the works too.

the blow thru is the best way to run and it allows for the hiss when you let off since you get to vent into the atmosphere instead of running a bypass hose

My bypass still runs back through the intake. The boost controller vents to atmosphere. They are both loud, and I'm not happy about it.
The boost controller is set for 10 psi, and it's hard to get used to when it opens at high rpms.

Cool man! From all Ive read its the best way to go.Unfortunately for me today I noticed the pinion shaft on my diff is leaking, so that has now become priority one.Im still waiting for eaton to call me back about a rebuild kit. While Im in there I might as well bring everything up to par.

Maintenence sucks!

this is what I was also considering doing:

http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co.../photo_06.html

would mke the procharger *edit* or any other centrufigal*edit* a better tool for the guys who tow a lot plus make it better for the street driven trucks (it would cost a bit of peak power but the low end is increased) and swapping to a blow thru MAF would be the only way to make this run easier

I think it's too wide if you want it to fit between the frame rails behind the bumper - 27" available?

I used this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GODSP...em180215099898

The angled inlets were no help to me, and I cut them off straight, and then used rubber elbows to head toward the engine. The challenge is getting over the sway bar.

The 4 x 12 x 18 cools well. I am seeing temp rises of about 30*, during wot runs.

ok thanks, I'm gonna wait to get a larger intercooler until I add more boost 9on the new motor) or long tubes

I am reviving this thread,

I found a company that will make a 9 inch (6#) crank pulley that is 8 rib, change the 2 grooved idlers and the head pulley and there's a procharger 8 rib drive system
