05 F150 Whipple SC Instructions
 
Purchased a used Whipple for my 05 F150. This unit came off of the same year truck. Does anyone have the install instructions electronically? If so, could you please email them to:

I see your running 10lbs of boost. Have you done any work to your lower end???

Coming to you. It's about 50 pages so I sent two faxes. If you see any pages missing, let me know and I'll resend what I need to.

I haven't done anything with the lower end. I'm on stock headers as well, plus all 4 cats. The only mods were the larger MAF housing, 39lb injectors, autolite HT0 plugs and a 3&1/8" pully. I think a few guys are running the same mods, but with a 3" pully instead. I've been running that way for over a year now, and I do play a lot, so I think it is safe. The important part is to get a good, reliable custom dyno tune.

Okay, I got confirmation that they went through. The main instructions have page numbers on the bottom starting at 1 of 48. I pulled the original staple out and it only went up to page 46. I found page 48 of 48, but I don't have a page 47 of 48. I also sent a two page checklist of parts.

I also found my dyno sheet from the original install. It was 347RWHP and 409RWTQ.

I had a shop install my supercharger, so I won't be able to help you much if you are doing it yourself. There are a couple of guys on here that did do their own installs, so if you have any questions, post 'em up.

I'm hoping to get some good results. Along with the SC I'm installing the Dynatech long tube headers, Flow Master cat back system and an electric fan kit. We'll see how it goes.

Mike, I was living in Vegas at the time, so I had a shop there do the install, then I took it to Whipple a couple months later and they did the upgrades and tuning. They were using my truck to help develop a 10psi upgrade package. They worked directly with Ford Racing on the tune.

I'd recommend upgrading the plugs to the Autolite HT0's while you are doing the install. Changing them with the supercharger on is a pain. If you plan to up the boost, you will definately need to change them out.

How long did it take. I'm on day 3 of Dynatech LT header install. Now I'm worried about the SC. Not really, it will all be worth it in the end!

Blower install is easy, just takes some time and patientence.

The hardest part is the back two intake manifold bolts on the driver's side. Holy cow! Those were a joke. Took me 30 mins to get those two bolts in.

I did it over a couple of days. I would work until I got tired and frustrated then take a break. My back was the worst of it as I had no one to help set the blower. Not to bad though, just take your time.
BTW I'm thinking about the dynatechs. What is giving you problems?

Thanks for all the info and help. Do you know the part number for the Autolite plugs. I would like to change them now while I have the inner fenders off.

I only know them as the HT0(zero) spark plugs under Autolite, and as Ford Racing I think they are the Ford Racing Zero degree plugs. I think they are the same thing, just different names. I'm not sure where to pick them up, but if you search the 05+ F150 forum for "autolite" I recall there being a thread on the cheapest places to purchase them, but they were all on-line dealers. You could probably pick up the Ford Racing Plugs at the local dealership.
