Air Suspension?

So I currently have a 2/5 drop on my truck (ground force 2/4 kit with another inch from a drop shackle). It seems like I am always using the bed to haul now and it got me thinking about air suspension. I have never looking into a kit before so I'm not sure where to exactly being. At times I want more of a drop then what I have now, others I wish the rear was a little hire for loading up the bed or towing a trailer for a short period. While I'm not exactly sure if the kits work this way, I would like to be able to have a lower ride most of the time and able to pump it up when I "use" the truck.

Any recommended kits or help is appreciated.

Thanks

For a simple bolt on kit the Air Ride Technologies kit is the best there is for a "kit", and about the only kit for for your truck. As for laying frame low, it would have to be custom. If that is what you want look up Tre 5 Customs. He is local and actually built a truck and posted about it on here.

I don't want to lay frame, but maybe loose another inch in the front and 2 in the rear. I would like to cruise at close to what you have for a drop, but when its time to use the bed have something closer to stock height.

That video is badass by the way

rear: 2 more then the 5 you already have you will need to c-notch the frame and maybe the bed a bit (diff pumpkin hitting the bed) if you want to keep any travel at all.
Front: 1" more: is alright in front, but more then 3": you need to cut the inner fender.(the metal one, not just the plastic.)

Air lift slam air bag is great on my 5" drop.

Can't remember who makes them, but I think there's a bolt in air strut for the 04-09 trucks

Air Ride Technologies make s a bolt in air strut. For a 6" drop ride height you should notch the frame. But if you drive around at 5" drop and let the air out to park, you should get about 7" drop. Also when notching these trucks, you should also notch the bed support above the diff, and move your ABS wires so they don't get smashed.

Price is pretty high but if I could cruise at a 3/5 drop and ride stock height when I load up the truck it'd be perfect

Alignment would change in the front. However you could increase the pressure to the bags to keep from sagging.

While a full air ride kit would be the way to go, it doesn't seem that you really need to go to that extent since your only looking to get a few inches of height.
My screw is lowered and sometimes when towing our 16ft trailer or when there is a large load in the bed it sags a bit too much for my liking.
I did a simple air shock in the rear. I run about 30psi in it all all times to keep the truck level, and when I need to I can air them up and gain about two inches in height. It keeps the rear from sagging when loaded or towing.
A helper bag in the rear would work well in the same manner. Bot of those options are way more economical then a full change to air ride.

what is a good helper bag kit for a flipped axle. I haul a 16' trailer with a L series tractor sometimes and if I don't get the weight to the back of the trailer my tires rub with a 2/4 drop
