I just ordered a 3 inch drop kit for the Expedition. I'm also going to do the brakes with powerstop z17 ceramic pads front and rear and probably paint the calipers red or silver. The sway bar bushings just came in so that can also get knocked of the list. The sub and stereo are installed and sound pretty good considering the low budget build I did in comparison to the F150. The wife likes it so thats all good. Going on a road trip next month so I have alot of crap to do before then. I will post pics as I get things done. One of the things to do will be to shorten the rear sway bar endlinks. I will have to cut out 3 inches to go with the drop. Thank god for a welder...lol

Polk DB1001 Silk dome tweeters in front doors

Polk DB1001 silk domes back doors

Kenwood DDX775BH with a 40 gig USB hard drive

Rockford Fosgate P300-12

I installed Kicker KS series 6x8's in the doors but forgot to take pics of them installed. The deck is pushing the door speakers with ease @ 50 watts and the sub control on the deck
along with the bass **** control the lows nicely. For me this is a budget build but can't complain at all for my daily driver, The truck is more or less a show truck but gets
run hard for kicks every once in a while. I have to much invested in her to get to crazy. The shocks came in today and the coils should be here tomorrow. It's a
Doetsch Tech 3 inch lowering kit and I got a Camber kit to install too. I will be painting up the front calipers and new Z17 ceramic pads up front to match the rears.
I have also painted the swaybar parts and have all new energy suspension bushing front and rear. I also ordered up some energy suspension bump stops for the front and rear too.
They don't list a replacement for the Expedition so from experience I ordered up 2" x 3/4 high for the front and 2" x 2 1/8th for the rear but will cut the step on those to 1.5 inch.
I will take pics and post them time permitting.

I got the 3 inch Doetsch tech drop kit and camber kits installed. Painted sway bars and all new bushings. I also painted the rear bumper. I also added a digital volt gauge and a dual 2.1 amp USB charger for all of the charging needs. It keeps the cords away from the drivers area. I would say she's well on her way to being a Thunder Clone.

I got a alignment a couple of days ago, but before that I installed red energy suspension tie rod boots. 3 out of the 4 boots were ripped but the joints were still good to go. While it was getting the alignment done the Tech showed me the play in the lower ball joints so I just had him replace uppers and lowers on both sides. Mechanically it should be good suspension wise for quite a while now. I still want to upgrade the rotors at some point.

Well, a couple of weeks ago I scored on Belltech Swaybars front and rear. The front is 1 3/8 and the rear is 1 1/4. I got them for 200 bucks and couldn't resist, Normal price is somewhere between 350 and 400. The front swaybar was pretty straight forward with the exception of the endlinks. I cut down the sleeve to 2 3/4 and used a 1 1/2 shorter bolt.

This is what the original Rear swaybar looked like before my Mods and upgraded swaybar.

The rear swaybar had another issue. It is lowered 4 inches and the factory track bar mount on the frame side was in the way of getting the swaybar to sit parallel to the ground. I contacted Belltech and a number of other sources and no one had a fix, bracket, nothing. After a few ****tails and laying there staring at it, I came up with a solution. The factory track bar mount had some extra flat area above the mounting bolt. I drilled a new 5/8 hole 1 1/4 inches on center above the OE hole. I then cut off the excess bracket below it and walla. Now for the endlinks. I cut out 2 3/4 inches and threaded the 2 pieces the used a jamb nut and a coupler nut to make the overall length 12 1/8 on center. Now I have adjustable endlinks and It didn't cost a 150 bucks either.

I've been working on a few more mods for the Expedition and I think it's gonna look pretty cool. I'm installing a GT 500 heat extractor hood vent and a set of Cervini fender vents like I did on the truck. I am also changing out the Mirrors from Power Heat to Power Heated and with external turns like I did on the truck. The fender vents may be a thing of the past as Cervini and everyone else is out of stock on them. I found this set at Beefcake racing and it was their last set in stock. I just finished cutting up the hood and painted the new parts. Here's a few pics of the work and progress so far.

I got some more work done the other night. It's been between 108 and 115 the last week and a half so everything is done at night. Fricking ridiculous! I got the fender vents cut out and installed. It wasn't to bad. I also installed the hood vent. The Expedition is filthy, I had a lot of ash all over everything from the huge fire near by. The CARR fire is finally slowing down as of this post. Hopefully it doesn't blow up again.

I have been working on and off on the Expedition. I had power and heated mirrors but wanted to add exterior turn signals. I've never been a fan of the ones in the mirror's
themselves. I used really bright LEDS to improve light output without the heat associated with incandescent bulbs. I had to modify the original mirror housing to accept
the mirror caps with the turn signal. It required the use of a dremel, crossed fingers and the ever present ****tail. I sanded and painted the Mirror caps with a fresh coat of OE paint.
I have also been working on the vents in the fenders and the GT 500 vent on the hood. They seemed to get lost in the sea of black paint. I wanted to spice them up while
tying into the locking fuel door that has similar hardware. I don't think it looks to bad and have gotten several compliments fro people in several different parking lots
and at a couple of stop lights. As you can see in the pictures there is an insane amount of ash all over the vehicles from the CARR and HIRZ fires. I have been using a mask
so I don't inhale it. It sucks cause when you sweat, it's been well over a 100 degrees and the get covered in ash and smell like smoke. I'm not one to let things stop me from
from working on O'l Girl..lol

I've Working on getting some audio pieces together. I've already replaced the door speakers with Kicker KS series 6x8's and added a Polk Audio DB1001
tweeter to each door. I have 2 Kicker 43 series 12's and I also have 2 Planet Audio Old School Big Bang series amplifiers. I have the BB150.4 and the BB1400.1.
They should power what I need and I already own then so I'll give them a shot. Here are the specs on them If anyone is interested.

https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...o-BB4.150.html

https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...-BB1400.1.html

I would rather have Rockford Fosgate Amps but In the name of cost efficiency I will hold off and see how the ZED amps do.

https://www.rockfordfosgate.com/prod...etails/p600x4/

https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p1000x1bd/

The Kicker 12's are dual 2 ohm but I got them brand new for 60 bucks each and couldn't complain. They normally go for close to 150 each.
The 6x8's were also scored cheap and couldn't complain. 80 bucks for both sets. Just like the truck there is a Kenwood Excelon 9902s
head unit with 5 volt outputs and it control's my 160 gig Ipod with a crazy amount of music on it.
I know my truck's audio system is ridiculous but I'm really trying to not get to crazy on the expedition..lol
