Who's the best?

I know I am gonna drop my truck,,,,,,, My question is who makes the better kit. Ground Force, DJM, Eibach,Mc Ghauys. I am looking for a 2/4 for a 06 extended cab. Any help out there? Thanks.

eibach, ground force and belltech are the way to go

Patman Sep 27, 2007 11:32 PM

ground force and eibach are more popular then belltech from what ive seen on this site

GF and belltech are more towards the GM guys

What a rough estimate on installation for a drop?

Beltech may be more towards GM, but GF is definitely good for Fords as well.

If you can turn a wrench with any common sense, you can install a drop. Dont let the spring compressors scare you like some will say. Yes it may be a serious thing to do, but can be done safely by yourself. However if installation is around $200 including an alignment, you may be better off just having a shop do it.

I have a Ground Force drop on mine and love it....to me it rides better than stock

My eibach kit and dampners ride just fine its the low profiles that i hate but it looks good:wave:

i have the groundforce and love it. it was 1129 from summitracing. very complete kit and took about a day to install since i procrastinate a lot and was doing other things at the time. the ride is awesome and it came with everything that you need. including the driveshaft mount and tansmission shim to keep the driveshaft angled properly. i have never tried any others but i will say that i can still tow with the truck and it handles awesome and gets compliments everywhere i go. cant go wrong with groundforce and if they were for gm's why did they make them for ford. if thats the case whats for ford because all i see on belltechs site is mainly gm and mcgaughys might have spelled it wrong is made just for the escalade:lol:

I just installed groundforce 9966 on a 07 FX4. I am very pleased with the results. The front dropped 2" back 3.5". I was worried about a stiff bouncy ride but it still rides like stock except it corners with a lot less body roll. 2 points for ground force!

I vote for the Ground Force. Lot less body roll & great looks.
