Thinking about bridging the front comps and running the rears off the deck Good idea?
 

I have RF T2 6.5" components up front, RF T1 6x8" coaxials out back and a RF T400-4 amp.

Birth sheet on the amp is 254x2 @ 4ohm @ 14.4v.
RMS on the front comps is 100w(200max)

So I know I'd be safe there, but.......I have 18ga wire running from the amp to the OEM wiring behind the OEM deck(9 conductor speedwire), then out to the doors through the OEM wiring.

Think it's safe to double the watts going through that tiny little wire? The speedwire is about 10' long, then another 4-6ft or so of "who-only-knows OEM wiring" to the doors.

I have the rear gain on the amp all the way down anyway, so it seems foolish to waste the power going to them, when the OEM deck could do the same darn thing.

18 might be pushing it. Per the12volt.com 18 is good for up to 16 ft at 4ohm.

But you know what, I personally would try it. Turn the gains down to keep everything safe.

If you do, let me know how it sounds. I might do the same thing. :beers:

I've decided I better just leave well enough alone. I always find myself trying to push the limits, and then end up breaking something. lol.

I would never put 250 watts through any kind of stock wiring. Re-run with 12awg and let it rip.
