subs behind a screw's backseat..
has anyone done this? I saw something like someone putting 2 8s there...but didnt see the write up. I have a toolbox in the bed so i dont need the little cubys behind my seat so i thought id build a sweet box to go there...

If you can accomplish subs behind the seat, you'll be very popular. I've never seen it done - only amps behind the seat.
I'd sure love to fit it all behind the seat, but surely someone else would've figured it out by now... |
He has a 01 he can do it. The older years had space
|
ya I know theres space. right behind theres a plastic piece where the 6-disk and jack storage were..that will be completly removed. ill also put some dynomat in there too, but theres more than enough space for a couple subs

Here you go. Pretty limited on sub options tho. |
ya I would want 1 10 and 1 12, just so ive got a better range. Ill keep looking. may save that link and use one of those boxes to make mine.

You can't mix sizes like that.
|
You could probably fit a JL 13tw5 back there.

This is what I have had in my truck for the past 5-6 years. It ROCKS plenty!! Plus, it has the built in Amp. So, you don't have to worry about where to put it at. In the Doors I have (4) Rockford 6x8 components powered by a Rockford 4x75 amp. System is plenty loud/clear.

Here you go. Pretty limited on sub options tho. Thanks a million for posting this link. I didn't even know enclosures came like this. I take my dog for car rides every so often, and the easiest way to keep her out of the way is to fold down the back seats and let her hop up in there. I REALLY want to add some bass to my truck, but I didn't want to sacrifice being able to fold down the rear seats. I'm definitely going to invest in this box. You're the man!!! |
Is there any box that will fit '02 screw King Ranch w/ rear captains chairs and rear center console? I saw one on crutchfield that fit inside the rear center console but it was like $800
