I still need to trim out the port. The box with the RE subs is the ultimate in SQ and SPL its 2.5 cu ft after dub and port displacement.Hits like a hammer!

 

I almost forgot I have a LMI welding 2.25'' seat lift.After 3 years I am sinally happy with my sub setup..

what is your box tuned to? Mind giving us some more specs amps, comps, etc..

 

It is tuned to 33 hz and the box is 2.5 cu ft after sub and port displacement so I have 1.25 per sub after displacement.This is like the hundreth box ive built,since I build custom boxes on the side,and it was still a pain in the ***.I do have a design now and will build them for others.Originally I had like 3.6 so I actually had to reduce the size of the box .The truck is not driven very often so I just kind of worked it out little by little.My old setup was 2 sealed 12'' IDq's and these 10's ported are putting them to shame.I wanted the setup to hit so hard and clean it would take your breath away.This Is It.

Did you cut out the center swivel seat support? Post some pics of it before installation.

 

No I built the box around hump and the supports which is not easy since the LMI welding supports are slightly wider on the inside ,the box took a LONG time to build .I spent a lot of time test fitting in the truck and tweaking.I build boxes on the side, quite a few of them, but building and tuning a perfect square is a cinch .I enjoyed the challenge of building this .After running all sorts of 10's and 12's firing up and down I had to get a ported box in there firing forward.The clarity and output is unmatched by any setup I have had prior.I would be happy to build you this very same box If you would like for a more than reasonable price. I can squeeze about another 1 cu ft if needed.The box was screwed every 1.5''(countersunk of course) glued and clamped, Done Rite .Once I get the port trimmed out My truck should be on the RE audio website.

 

looks good what year and style of truck is this in? i have two RE SE 10's and im looking for a little more out of them

 

It is an 07. You have to port them to get SQ and SPL .Look at the several thousand dollar home speakers they are all ported as far as I know. I have always been told porting correctly doubles your output. I have been toying with my F150's for years (I had an 04 )and tried basically all major brands of subs as well as different setups. this cant be beat at least not in a f150.I just wanted to try the RE subs bought them without ever hearing them. Just figured I would try another brand.Glad I Did! Let me know if I can help.

 

i understand the porting of boxes i have built my fair share of boxes from sealed to ported to transmission line and so on and so fourth. As far as are goes i love there subs i have used almost all the lines they have out currently. now on to the box you have is it possible to get some plans for the box so i may try it in my truck as well? also how many square inches of port area do you have? it looks as though its a bit small but that could be just the picture angle

 

A bit small? there tens.Let me ask you, from looking at my 1 picture what is the RITE size? .If you have built your fair share "so forth and so on."Then why do you need my plans .Let us see it when you are done.

 

Chill out man christ like I said it looked like it was a bit small and it could have been the angle of the picture as well as the carpet around it. I wasn't critizing

 

You are so limited with the port being centered on the narrowest/smallest portion of the box.There is also a bracket notch on the pass side. I played with the numbers and tried to get the longest port possible while not maxing out my clearance at the rear of the box.Its tuned to 33 hz. Sorry if I took your comment wrong.
