Two ?s in one

So I’m wanting to add a sub to my factory system (including factory HU) in my 05 supercrew. Got a couple questions that I can’t seem to answer:

1. When tapping into the factory 6 disc head unit to get the RCA outputs, how do I find out which wires are the positive and negative and right and left?

2. I have an amp already that I want to use (Pioneer GM-5000T). Its two channel, and has 760watt max output. I’m looking at getting one Rockford Fosgate P3S 10”. I don’t know if I should get the 2 ohm or 4 ohm model, or why I should desire one over the other. Also not 100% if my amp and that sub will work well together.

Thanks in advance for the help.

your amp is fine for 1 p3 shallow 10 get a dual 2 ohm vc sub or single 4 ohm vc to use with your amp. so your amp will have the right ohm load so you get the most out of it. im not sure if they make a single voice coil i could only find dvc models. if you get the 2 ohm dvc model you will have to connect the wires +-+- in series and bridge your amp outputs ( to make sure that each coil gets the same amount of power to it). if you get a 4 ohm svc (again not sure if they make it) you will just wire it +- to your amp after bridging the outputs.

on the wiring behind the hu it has been awile since ive looked back there and dont remember the color codes.

I can't remember who posted the wiring color codes here but I think this will work for you.
