Couldn't be happier!

All my new stuff came in today and I have it all wired up. I got a Audiobahn A8002T amp (800/1600), two Infinity Kappa 102.7w 10's (350/1400 each), and the Fox Acoustics box.

All I have to say is WOW! The Infinitys are soooo clean and they will get very very loud!

I had it turned up and I started to notice a squeeking...and then more loud, shrill squeeking and I had no clue what it was and it started to piss me off...as I was looking for the cause of the squeek I noticed my headliner was sagging...it had undone the clips holding my headliner up! I kid you not!

With the volume all the way up on the factory radio and the bass all the way up there is absolutely NO distortion (other than the door speakers haha), but I bet you won't sit in the truck!

I'll put up some pics later. For anyone who is wondering what subs to get, these Infinity Kappa 102.7's are bada$$ and I got 'em new for $100 a piece!!!

infinity makes the worst sounding speakers i've ever heard. highs are WAY too harsh

Hence why I do not have their components, just their subs.

I have had MTX, Audiobahn, Kicker, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, and a few others, and both types of Infinity Subs I have had sounded better overall throughout the high to low bass band than any of the others. Sure the MTX's and Kickers got loud and high, but not too low. The Fosgate and Pioneer would get low, but not too high. The Audiobahn and a few others would do neither haha. These Infinitys are an awesome compromise, IMO. On high bass they are VERY loud and on low notes it is just outright uncomfortable to sit in the truck if it is turned up. It pounds my chest so hard I have to take a deep breath every few seconds because of the amount of air moving in and out of the truck.

I am not trying to brag on my setup - I am just throwing a kudos to Infinity, btw. I have heard better sounding systems, but not in a downfiring truck setup. But then again, I haven't heard everyone's system :rocker:

The box actually fits better than I thought it would, I thought it would stick out a bit, but it doesn't.

Audiobahn A8002T. It is 11 9/16" W x 11 7/8" L x 1 7/8" H. It is 800 RMS/1600 Max. It weighs over 10 lbs, its not small, but its not overly huge either.

It is from www.foxacoustics.com. The mounting depth is 5 7/8". The subs I put in are only 4 3/4" mounting depth, but I wanted the extra room in case I upgrade, which I doubt I ever will now.

Looks great! I think I'm gonna order one and put my extra eclipse subs in there. The mounting depth on them is 5 7/8 so hopefully they fit.

What type of board did you use to mount the amp on the rear wall? I'm gonna attempt to get mine back there tomorrow? Is there still clearance between the amp and seat?

By the way....... looks great!

It is 1/4" MDF that I mounted the amp on. I believe the seat might be touching the top of the amp, but it definitely has clearance for the most part.

looks great! i had seen their boxes on ebay a while back and even posted a thread to see if anyone had any. no one at the time did. in their ad they stated w3's would fit. anyhow i go to their website today and there is nothing listed for the f150. bummer. on a side note, back in the day i used to have pair of ininity reference 10" subs behind the seat of my c1500 and they bumped like nobody's business!
