Ok, been experimenting , as with the gains all set and Xovers at level 2 (Linear Balanced).. tweeters are sounding great, but a little to bright and front stage isn't there, you can point the tweeter right out..

So setting the tweeters from level 2 (Linear Balanced) to level 3 (Middle Optimum) is much better, then I reversed polarity on both tweeter and thats the ticket, front stage spreaded out accross the dash and I can no longer point the tweeter out at left and right.....

I still want to go back and try level 2 (Linear Balanced) with reversed polarity...

I was also wondering if there is any advantage to playing with reversed polarity on the Germ midbass on IDQ6 rear midbass....

anybody have any insite on this helping or hurting midbass...

I just wish I could get my fat hand behind the back seat to remove the backrest so I can insulate the back wall.

Well, just finished doing the "Big 3" or in my case the "Big 4" as I added the optional "battery ground to body" also... was going to use 4ga but, I used 2ga wire as I had forgot I done a power inverter on a company van a while back, still had 4 foot of black and 4 foot of red left over.....

All reading are from top of the line Stinger blocks and with the truck running..

before starting I had 14.7 at the battery and 14.3 at distro block, system playing at full power would drop to 13.5 at distro block...

after 14.9 blinking to 15.0 at battery and 14.6 at distro block, system playing at full power would drop to 14.3 at distro block...

ending with a little shy of a volt increase getting to the amps. I'll take it, hell, when you only have 13 volts, another volt added isn't to be sneezed at..

also, maybe it just me, but the bass seems to hit a little harder and is cleaner sounding, not that it wasn't clear to start with, it just seems to sound better..... maybe its just me..... but I like it...

Hey Tim,
Sounds like your making some good progress.

As far as reversing polarity on your mids helping anything, no.

It coming along nicely, I just posted some info from SI in another thread and it was one time to many looking at the BM12, now one is on the way to compare to my Rainbow Profi 12...

Nick at SI said the Profi will get just a tad lower, but the BM12 will beat it in every other aspect, including tightness of bass and especially in clarity..
So we will see......

We'll see, I really like this Profi sub, But I will always wonder what the BM12 would sound like and with the blow out price of 170.00 Shipped, With my box being 1.4 SF sealed and 6" mounting depth... it a clean swap to see......
