12" aufiobahn

Hi all, I hope someone can give some advice on Audiobahn subs. I have a Thunderfrom 12" box that I want to get the most SP from and maintain a high level of SQ also. I was looking at these subs because they appear to handle high RMS power (700 watts) at an affordable price(@ $100). Here are my two concerns though:

1) Audiobahn does not rate their subs with a peak power and I wonder if it's because it's basically the same as their RMS rating.

2) Will the box and sub handle an amp rated @ 800 RMS watts?

BTW, I listen mostly to rock, country, jazz. I prefer the tight accurate bass that subs like Infinity produce.

Peak power is what a sub or amp can handle in a split second burst of power. It's normally considered double what RMS power is. Disregard peak power and look at RMS cause that's what you'll build your system around.

Look at this speaker specification break down over at best buy's website This will make choosing a speaker easier for you in the future.

I'm not sure about the box but MTX is a pretty good name brand. So I would feel safe using it.

audiobahn is not going to be good for any SQ application, unless you like to **** crunk rap, steer clear and look elsewhere for a quality sub

OK then, if not Audiobahn then what would you choose. I want a DVC 4 ohm or SVC 2 ohm for around $100. Mounting depth can't be more than 5.6". Sealed Thunderfrom box @ .95 cu. ft. The JBL GTO1204D looks good but I wanted something around 500 RMS.

Man looking the ED site I would go with those guys just for the amount of heart they put into their website. That place is a freaking gold mine of information.
