I have a lockable bed cover so I keep mine in the bed. At one point, someone on here found a place to mount theirs under the hood. You might search and be able to find it.

when i was building my own box, before i knew how i was going to mount the amp, i put the jack into a walmart bag, well a couple plastic bags, then taped it up, then threw it in the spare tire which was mounted upside down at the time, so it made a nice bowl to put it in. The idea came off this site, i never would have thought to do that myself. Well after needing it a couple times, it finally made its way back into the truck, and by then i was done with my box, and had room for it in the back wall.

How about under one of the front seats? Thats where mine was from the factory but I moved to to make room for an amp.
