When doing up my system, I went w/ MB Quart 6.5 for the doors...just curious, I asked what route they'd go. They suggested the Dyn Audio 240GT 6.5 speakers which retailed for $1000 a pair!...I'd need 2 pairs.

Personally, I've never heard these speakers live...my $300/set MB Quart 6.5" sound just fine to me.

Thoughts?

 

Unless you are building a competition sound system they won't be worth it. JMHO

i don't know where you heard that from but the 240gt components with xovers and tweens can be had brand new for about $500 us. i think dyns are one of the best sounding speakers for the car environment. and as far as putting them into the doors to replace the stocks, that would be a waste of an excellent driver. i could see if you're going with custom fiberglass kick panels and aiming them for imaging along with a highend head unit and excellent amps, then that would do the Dyns justice.
