jesterstruck, Subs work best in a certain size AND type of box. Is the box sealed or ported and what is the volume? Buy the correct subs that fit what the box is and then AMPLIFY correctly.

look man,

If u wanna go wth hard hitting and great sound, Pick up a pair of Rockford Fosgate 10"s. They have a pair of tens that hit harder than n e thing else. Those are more on the realistic price range. If u wanna drop a lot of money, buy 2 jlAudio 10"s, they are expensive, but they are the hardest hitting on the market.

I wouldn't classify an JL subs as the "hardest hitting on the market." When I hear that I think SPL and JL subs are not SPL and in fact many setups out there can destroy JL subs in terms of SPL (including the w7), however there are not many subs out there that sound as good as the w7 and have as much output. Its the mixture that makes them special.

Anyway...to the original poster just depends on what you are looking to spend and the volume you have to work with. If you have about 1.5 cubes per sub and want to spend a lot go with the 10w7 if you want to spend a little less and be as close as possible and have a little less space to work with go with the brahma...

Sleeperlover, I apologize if this comes off as harsh, BUT it's silly to make generalizations like you did about RF and JL. Someone who doesn't know about car audio might even believe what you posted. You mentioned no model numbers, you didn't advise using and installing the subs correctly. You made a blanket statement that simply means nothing. RF and JL make some very good subs AND they both make some that are very average. AND, in either case, they need to be used properly. So, at the very best, your comments are lacking. This forum is for posting legitimate questions and, for the poster, getting a legitimate answer. The ironic thing is, in a lot of cases, the original poster doesn't know when he's being BS'd. That's why he's posting to begin with, because he doesn't know.
jesterstruck, Any followup?

Well after reading and looking on the web. I bought 2 Rockford HE2 4 ohm. I think that I will be happy. I found site that had a special for 2 subs for 110 including shipping. Next I am going to get a box from supercrewsound. thanks guys for your input.
