I am a member of a Tampa off-road group and finally made it out to Lakeland Motor Speedway mudding section about 2 weeks ago. It was a great time and my truck made it through most of the holes...Didn't try the main hole cause my 2.5in leveling kit and 35's wouldn't make it through.

I just spent 4 days in central FL (Orlando-Daytona) I was disappointed guys. After seeing Trucks Gone Wild and knowing what kind of Fords I could see in FL, I hoped for the best but did not see much. I know you are there, just drive more fellas!

If you werte in Orlando for 4 days I wouldnt be dissapointed that you didnt see many trucks...You might be thankful that you didnt get carjacked, mugged, or killed....

Sorry Orlando guys, but I hate that scumhole (some parts of it)
It used to be that you could take your family into the city for the day or weekend and really enjoy yourself walking around almost any part of the city without fear of being killed or robbed. Now you have to be very careful, even in the tourist sections (especially in the tourist sections).
It really is a shame because there is so much to do there. We used to go 2-3x a week. Now we go maybe once a month and I really even hate to do that.

Like I said, dont mean to bust on the whole city and Im sure there are a lot of nice spots, but it is getting a very bad name and for a reason.

I didn't feel that way at all. Actually we stayed in Kissimmee. We came down for the 500. Nothing like leaving the -4 of Wisconsin and crusing with with top down in the 82 of central FL. Now im back in WI and it's -3.

Ford460---glad you had a good time here. I was at the 500 too. We go every yr. Some say the best seat for the race is in your own living room, but the ppl that say that have never sat close to the track when 32,000 hp goes flying by you and you can feel it in your chest and smell the race fuel...There is nothing like being at a live race...especially nascar. Sure you cant see every part of thrack due to it being 2.5 miles long unless you have a really high up seat, but I still wouldnt trade the worst seat for a TV viewing.

Back to Orlando, like i was saying, there are still some really nice parts (and many of the surrounding suburbs are very nice) but the criminal element is definately on the rise as well as non english speaking ppl and gangs. Not the place Id want ot raise my children unfortunately, despite all the great things the city has to offer. They are trying ot clean it up, but I think the bad things are moving in faster than the clean up efforts will allow. It is the next Miami as far as organized crime, gangs, regular crime, and illegal immigration.

Have fun in Wisconsin with your snowsleds,,, man I miss them (Im orriginally from Northern NY)

It was my first 500 but not my first race in general. I like Homestead better than Daytona. Maybe cause it's the Ford 400 and I tend to get a bit more free stuff by flashing the Ford Tattoo.

My buddy judt dropped his sled off. Nothing like running wide open across the lake on the Arctic Cat 660 Turbo. 140mph no problem.

I don't know where you get that from. Sure there's bad parts but ya know when you're in those parts. There's been times I've taken a wrong turn and ended up in those parts, but never saw anything that scared me, I was just on guard a little more. Yes, the criminal element is on the rise, but so is the population. I doubt that there is a higher % of crime than there was 10 years ago. That's my impression and I could be wrong.........
