Hidden Falls Off-road Trip Jan 6-8
a few friends and I will be going out there with our vehicles, not our f150's, to play around for the weekend. Not a good place for your f150. If interested let me know.
As of now the vehicles should be a FJ40, FJ60, TJ, CJ, and LR disco.
Price according to their website
$25/day per vehicle
$15/night camping
$20/2day pass for passengers

Not gonna be in TX til next year, but would this be a good place just to camp with my F-150? My truck is 2WD, so no trail riding at all, but my gf is from Texas, and I'm trying to plan a somewhat different trip than our last three annual treks to Dallas.
We both love camping, just didn't know if simple camping would be too urbane for a place like that, if we needed to bring extras to keep us busy. Guess I'm just asking if the place is beautiful enough for us to just chill during the day and say "ooooh" and "ahhhhh" at the sunrises/sunsets? Lol

Will be our first trip out to this park. I would imagine a state park would be better than an offroad park and cheaper.

There is a good chance I'll go. I might be getting a little minibike to take along. Otherwise I'll end up spending at least $40 in gas. It is a very nice park.
Here are pics from the last time I went. I was able to get around on the level 1 and some of the level 2 trails with my 2wd F150 with highway tires.

edit: fair warning, i plan on doing level 3 and 4 trails as well which a couple others will i'm assuming. I am thinking we should have a spare seat between some vehicle though.

Hey guys, now that you've made your trek, would there be anything there for my big Grey 2WD baby lol? Or should I just stick to regular campgrounds and leave Hidden Falls hidden?
Like I said originally, I'm looking for a place to mainly camp, that would be something different than woods and the same ol, same ol. But how was the scenery, and what all is there to do?

There are places you can drive around for 2wd, but at best would be a cool thing to drive thru for a couple hours if you didn't have to pay a $25 entrance fee and were already in the area
Alot of trails, I broke the first night broke all 4 studs holding my steering arm on, second day we stuck to level 3 and 4 trails and packed up and left saturday night instead of sunday morning.
Definitely will go back again at some point, but i enjoy barnwell mountain a little more and it's slightly closer to me.
4 wheelers are allowed if you have one (not sure what trails would be fun with one though).
