Louisiana's First 85% Ethanol Station Opens in Baton Rouge

E-85 reduces the amount of harmful gases released from your car. The Florida Boulevard station already offers customers compressed natural gas. Now, it will be the only multi-alternative fuel station in the state.
"It's good for Louisiana. It's good for America. We're talking about burning ethanol and petroleum products together. So, you look at that and combine the two; we can offer a product that burns clean and we can offer it at a lower price," says Ag Commissioner Mike Strain.
It's offered at a much lower price. Right now, the E-85 fuel is $2.80 a gallon. That's about 50 cents lower than regular gas around the area.
There is a catch, though. Your vehicle has to be a flexible fuel vehicle. To find out if your vehicle qualifies
