I think I will look into Midas and see what is offered... has anyone gone through Northwest Automotive Warehouse (NAW) for anything? How are the prices and service? The website doesn't give prices...

Never heard of them till now, nice website. Check thier prices, it might be cheaper if you ordered the catback system or the muffler itself then went around to some shops. To just weld the muffler in, they will have to weld in a small piece of tubing in front of the muffler (between "y" and muffler) to make up for the larger stock muffler. Make sure they now this cuz they will charge extra for this piece of tubing.

I just had a 18" maggie installed at Midas for $129. Got a free Oil change out of it too. My Edge is in the mail and my Autosprings are sitting at the post office waiting for me to pick up tomorrow!

How are you liking that maggie? I too was suprised at midas' low price. Let me know how that edge works out, I might go with that model just because of that mounting pod.

I checked them out one time (about a year ago) and they were pretty comperable to anywhere else. Course this was before I graduated from St. Mary's, and I haven't been in in a long while.

Installed Autosprings

Well now I have a nice 30mm impact socket to use as a doorstop... Once I was able to get that socket, the install went real smooth. I need to get the alignment done this weekend. If anyone else needs help in this area, I'm right down the road...

You should have just rented one at autozone. I did, it actually is a free loaner; you get your money back after you bring it back. If you still have the receipt and the socket isn't damaged, try returning the socket to wherever you bought it from. They might at least give you store credit or something like that.

gentlemen, gentlemen. I have learned from experience that the best place for exhaust work is on the southside. I too am from San Antonio. I am actually in Waco at Baylor, but I try to head down every so often.

For example I know this one place that will do true duals I believe my dad got flows and small cats and then straight back with 18" (i think) chrome tips for 350. That was on his suburban so that was a lot of pipe. I say just go and tell them want you want and make them a counter offer. If not jump in your truck and drive down the street because there is another a stones throw away. The one where my dad paid 350 was on Hildebrand. If you take 10 south exit Hildebrand take a left. Go down a bit and it is a place on your right called....I don't know. But it is or was a BIG yellow building. Well I think we could some sort of wrench off around spring break that'd be cool

There is a "muffler shop" on SH281 on the North side of Blanco that seems to do good work. May be about the same distance from Bulverde and S.V. I'm not sure what the name is, but you can't miss it. Good luck and WELCOME
