Houston-Goodson's oh yeah
New Braunfels area-Gristmill oh hell yeah

and someone mentioned the Oasis, if you mean the one on Lake Travis...hate to tell you but it burned down about two weeks ago. It was all over the paper, since it is a Texas institution.

But nothing comes close to Grandma's recipe. I think they sit women down when they are about to have a grandson and teach them the special recipe.

Toss up, Goodson's or Mel's in Tomball. If you ain't tired Mel's, you are missing out.

Yup, the Oasis did get struck by lightning and burn, but Good news Oasis fans... The Oasis on Lake Travis (in Austin) is open again! Their website says they are open and will be back in full swing in upcoming months. I look forward to going back out there.

And, Cowboy Ranch in Pasadena has a terrific CFS!

I'm gonna have to go with Rocket Cafe in Rocket just outside Waxahachie. Best CFS in the area, if you're willing to make the drive, and risk getting lost.

Its about 10-15 minutes north on FM 813. Thats the FM road right before the water tower on your way east out of town on 287. Its not hard to find because its really the only thing out there, but get there early, they also have awesome pies, but they go fast.
