Anyone know about the latest recall on the Ford Lightning? I got notice yesterday. It is for Tie-Rod ends and Tie Rod. Premature Failure.

I was kinda surprised I didn't see a post on here about it

I "think" l-Menace has a 99 Lightning.
I have an 01 and did not recieve anything

 

Didnt get one but have seen it - Its not a recall - Just an inspection instruction sheet

Its all your $$$ not fords

 

It tells you how to properly check the tie rod end, it does not mean they wear out early. It is a moving part so wear is going to take place and i'm sure it can't be warrantied for a million miles. Besides a person should take a look at all there components on their trucks once and awhile, I take the sheets as a reminder to take a look at other items than just what's under the hood.
