AC hose replacement questions

AC hose rubbed through I'm guessing from vibration and contact with part of the frame near radiator. From the size of the hole I'm gonna say I lost all refrigerant. I know I'll need to put a vacuum and evacuate the system but will oil need to be added as well? Read on one site at most 2oz of oil to make up for what's lost in the old hose. Will any coolant left in the system be purged when system is put under vacuum?

Probably the 2oz is about right. I think it's PAG-46 oil.

You'll need to inject it on the low side. I like the barrel style oil injectors.

I recommend a vac of at least 1 hour, the more, the better.

There will not be any refrigerant left in the system after a vacuum is pulled. In fact there is no refrigerant in the system right now. It all leaked out. You will need the new hose, a vacuum pump, a set of gauges and several cans of refrigerant with one of them being a can with oil in it. I think they come with 3 ounces of oil. There is no way to know exactly how much oil was lost.
