Need Recommended Transmission shop San Antonio, TX
2005 F150 XL 4.2L 128,000 Miles
No reverse, did hear a loud pop. Suspect Broken reverse band. Have Trans fault on dash. No codes. Truck wheels are locked up in neutral when trying to pull it backwards. Going to have to disconnect driveshaft just to get it on the trailer.
Can someone please recommend a GOOD TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP in the NW SAN ANTONIO area. I actually live in Pipe Creek TX.

Okay so I obtained a OBDII reader that could read transmission codes. I have codes 0731 Transmission gear #1 incorrect ratio, and 0732, Transmission gear #2 incorrect ratio. Are there separate solenoids for gear 1 and gear 2? It is a 4R75E transmission. So apparently, I have no gear 1, no gear 2, and no reverse. There are no other codes. So, I don't think it is electrical. Any insight, suggestions? Thank you.

Thanks so much, confirms what the dealership said it was. I'm having to bite the bullet and put in a ford re-manufactured 4R70 transmission. The planetary gears are shot. The only good news is that there is a warranty for both parts and labor for 3 years 100,000 miles. Thanks everyone!!!!
