Updated Motorcraft Oil Filters
While at my local WM this morning I had a look see in the oil and filters section. I noticed the MC oil filter boxes had a new look to them. So, I opened an FL-400S and checked it out. The bypass valve looks like it has been extended about a 1/2". I haven't GOOGLED it yet, but I bet they did more than extend the bypass valve. I guess I will have to cut one open to see if there are any more improvements with the internal parts. Has anyone else noticed any improvements with the other MC oil filters?

They probably switched OEM's. They *were* Purolator.

Looks like filter manufacturers have been buying and selling off a lot lately. It looks like Fram and Champion are owned by the same company now. Wix and Purolator are owned by another company. Apparently there are only 4 companies that make oil filters now.
The Fram Extra Guard is still an orange can of death.

You want to know why I like the OCOD so much? They are very bright to hone in on at 100 yards + when using them as AR-15 target practice!
