1998 f150 won't move while in any gear.

I have a 1998 f150 with the 4.2l v6. The fuel pump went bad in March, I had it towed home, the tow truck driver didn't shift it into N and dragged it about 2ft while in park. Fast foward, I put the new pump in a few weeks ago, fixed a few minor vacumm leaks, the truck starts fine, idles fine, but when I move the shifter into drive, reverse 1 or 2 it won't move. I can't push it in park so I'm assuming the pawl didn't break, and it shifts into neutral so I can push it around. The linkage "seems" to be working properly. I'm stumped.

It's a 2 wheel drive, but I figured it out. I can add "Transmission oil" to the list of things this old beat up truck just doesn't hold in well anymore. It was about 2 qts low. I didn't know this but it won't even try to shift into gear if the oil is low, so I filled it and ran it up and down the street a few times, I guess I'll track down the leak when I eventually pull the motor and rebuild it. I've been driving this truck since 2000 and put over 300k miles on it, I'm gonna turn it into a project truck for my son and I. Thanks all, whoever read this post and replied.
