305/70R18 Question and 295/70R18 Group Feedback

I currently have 295/70R18 (34.3" tall) Nitto Terra Grippers on a 2010 F150 4X4 XLT with stock rims (18" x 7.5" wide). Truck has 2.5" leveling kit up front and rear suspension airbags. I've had zero issues with these tires and no clearance problems. Currently have approx. 60,000 miles on them and they need to be replaced. They are excellent tires and I highly recommend them

I'm considering a 305/70R18 (34.8" tall) tire (AMP 305/70R18 Tire Specs Here). I've been searching this forum for a day now and have not found anyone that has installed this size tire on their leveled 2010 F150 with stock wheels/rims.

I've had no issues with the 295/70R18 tires on my truck. Even though the 305/70R18 tire is only 10mm wider I want to make sure I won't have any problems.

If you have or know anyone that has installed this size tire.....
  • Do you foresee any problems with the 305/70R18 on the stock 7.5" rim?
  • Have you had any tire rubbing issues on front air dam or fender liner. If so how much trimming did it require?
  • Have you had any tire rubbing issues on suspension components (upper control arm, etc.)
  • Can you share pictures.

Thank you very much for your advice and feedback!

FYI... Here's a picture of the factory/stock rim.

No good on the stock wheels, you need 8.5 to 10" width. You are at minimums with your current tires, they need 7.5 to 10" width. Replace yours with the same thing.
