2012 F150 FX4 Leveled - Bilstein 5100's Max Tire Size - BFG KO2
Hi All,
Have been using the site for research for a few years now and finally joined. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a new set of BFG KO2 tires, but need help on the size!
I have a 2012 F150 FX4, 5.0 V8 with Bilstein 5100's set at max or just below max (can't exactly tell and they came with the truck). Stock FX4 wheels with 33X12.50R20 Toyo Mt's currently installed and they rub the sway bar at full lock. Nothing noticeable when driving, but see a shiny spot on the sway bar where the powder coating is gone. No other issues I am aware of.
The question:
What is the max tire size I can run with my current setup other than 305/55R20?
I am wanting to go narrower, ideally a 285 instead of a 12.50. Here are my opinions of the sizes I am considering.
275/60R20 - Great price, like the D rating but may seem a little small with the level and narrow.
275/65R20 - Solid choice, great price, but seem a little narrow proportionally.
285/55R20 - Like the D rating, like the width, a little small on diameter and hard justifying paying that much when I can pay a little extra for 305/55R20.
285/60R20 - Seem like exactly what I want for width and height but very high pricing!
285/65R20 - Seems to be best value for size but getting big... Will it fit???
Thanks in advance!
