Smile 2000 - Which Oil Pressure Switch/Sender?

Hello, I have a 2000 F150 4.2

I want to replace the oil pressure sender switch but am confused about a replacement.

Ford lists 6U5Z-9278-E as the replacement, but that's not the stock one that's in there - Ford's replacement has an extended length.

Stock looks like 6U5Z-9278-D

I'm getting intermittent 'Zero Oil Pressure' on the gauge.

This is the one I have (stock)
Thanks for any help

All of them are extended. Just go pick up one at a parts store, they will look it up.

That's the point - The extended one is what is listed, but the short one (pic) is what is OE (I've owned the truck since new). Also, the long one won't fit as there's a bracket in the way.

The OEM one crosses to a Motorcraft SW-6357.

I ended up with a Standard Motor Parts PS288 which worked fine. The thickness of the sensor body was not as robust as the OE Motorcraft, but the one linked looks more like the OE... Unfortunately, the parts house didn't stock Motorcraft as I like to stay OEM, but needed it done today.

And Typically, Amazon says the linked one does not fit my truck -- I have a Oct of '99 Truck and it's right on the cusp of some cross-overs, so I find a lot of parts listed for a 00 are different from mine and I have to look at the '99 spec. That 6U5Z-9278-D has been superseded to GC3Z-9278-A for anybody who sees this later.

Only 130K on the truck ---

Oh, well, it's a Ford.

Thanks for the help.
