2004 f150 5.4£ starter circuit issues?

Over the past few months I have had issues with the starter not engaging. I have replaced the starter, starter relay(in fuse panel), ignition switch, battery is 9 months old and it continues to only start cranking intermittently.

When I turn the key slowly I can hear the relay engage/click then I'll back it off and try again till the relay clicks and the starter engages almost simultaneously. So what else between the relay and starter could it be? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Could be a bad starter. Had another member on here with the same issue. All the wiring and circuits looked fine.

Well I kind of jumped the gun in replacing the starter and once I did I took the old one in to have it bench tested and it tested good. With that said the issue has continued. The battery and alternator tested good on autozone's computer but was showing low amp draw from the starter on both new and old starter.

Interesting. Unless the relay is going.

You can test that with a 12v source.

I replaced the relay in the fuse panel already and swapped it with other relays in the fuse panel. There isn't any other relays that would be under the hood right?

None under the hood for this.

Only other thing I can think of is the ignition switch.

I tried that with no change, that's why I turned to this forum. But I guess I need to go through and clean every ground connection and then maybe change out the battery cable harness. Thanks I appreciate the help.
