2005 F150 Ignition switch installation

Ignition Switch 2005 F150
The tools I used:

1. All vehicle accessories off.
2. Ignition switch to off.
3. Pull fuse F19
4. Turn ignition on and monitor air bag light on dash, it will be lit continuously if you pulled the right one.
5. Turn ignition off.
6. Disconnect battery ground cable and wait at least one minute. This should disarm the air bag system.
7. Remove circle knockouts from sides of steering wheel use8mm socket to remove bolts from the 2 sides.

8. Gently pull out airbag assembly.
You will need to disconnect the large harness first. Slide out red clip, then gently pry on the release. On the smaller harness, Toward the bottom of the air bag, there is a red connector, remove the grey locking clip, then pry up the red tab and disconnect that harness. Set air bag aside.

9. Turn steering wheel until it locks. Unbolt steering wheel with. T50 Torx. Note the position of the yellow dot, scribe a mark on the wheel if necessary. Use a steering wheel puller and remove the wheel. Set it aside.
10. Remove screw on lower half of column shroud .
Grab lower shroud and remove it from the upper shroud.
11. Remove the two screws on upper shroud.
12. On top of the column is a 4th screw that holds in the multifunction switch, aka hazard/ turn signal assembly. Carefully remove the screw and gently slide the assembly out. You can now see the ignition switch was behind it.

Don’t let the black plastic around the steering shaft move out!
13. You may need to slide the manual wheel tilt out of your way. Disconnect harness to ignition switch. Remove ignition switch by pressing in on the tabs.
14. Reverse for installation.

It would be nice if you included what you were working on. Putting it in the title would be best.
