Issues after accident.

I have a 2001 F150 Lariat that was in a minor accident (no one hurt) but both air bags deployed. I went to a salvage yard and picked up the air bags and will be sending out the RCM for resetting. That should fix the air bags. However, the horn and cruise control is not working. I read on the net that if air bags deployed it needs a new clock spring. So I replaced the clock spring but the horn and cruise control still do not work.

My truck was one of the trucks in the recall for the fusible link (something to do with the cruise control) if I remember. Anyway I guess my next move is to start looking at fuses? Can some one point me in the right direction as to what I need to try next. Fuses/ relay numbers etc.. I am at a loss at this time any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Hi John --

Yes, I would start looking at fuses and wiring. Possibly doing resistance testing with a good DMM.

You can test the fuseable recall link with a DMM too.
