I'm in a position where I need a new grille, and need to do something with my fender flares (stock). The FX2 grille I have is cracked, and for some reason my fender flares have chipped the paint where they meet the body.

So

Option 1: get a Raptor "looking" grille for an 06, and the f & r letters, and then bigger flares that will cover the paint issues

Option 2: do a complete front end conversion to an 09-14 with either stock or aftermarket parts for a true Raptor look

 

Totally up to you and how much $$ you are wishing to spend...

 

Have you seen, or do you have pics, an 04-08 with a Raptor look grille and maybe some pocket flares on stock fenders?

It's been a fun project as I've done it all myself, both mechanical and aesthetic. This site and a couple of others have been A HUGE help. I haven't quite gotten it "right" as of yet, but, I'm honing in on it. There's been several different derivations with this being the latest. So far it's been a bullet proof truck. 235k and going... just returned from a 700 mile 3 day turnaround. I've put 30k in a wee bit over a year. So far, so good.....

I think I've made up my mind.

I just saw that Fiberwerx offers a 2017 Raptor conversion...and I have loved the look of that truck since it first came out.

Looks like things are going to get expensive lol
