2005 f150 shake between 50-60 mph

Can you tell me why my 2005 f150 steering shakes between 50-60 mph? I thought it was the tires so I bought new Michelin tires a few months ago. It's still shaking.

Get the tire store to check it out. It could be a tire issue, wheel issue, or suspension issue.

Start with the tires - make sure they are not out of round, have them road force balanced. Check for bent wheels and loose steering components.

Probably not the tires if it was shaking before and after new Michleins but you never know. A weight could have fallen off or an idiot could have done the balancing. I met one of those.

Make sure there isn't crud on the wheel mating surfaces to the rotor and hub.

If there is, use a wire wheel on a power drill and scrub it off.
