*2000 F150 V8 4.6L Triton 2wd*

Problem- Weak power (less than normal) the whole truck has a slight shake and gets worse as you get closer to 45mph. once past 50mph it dosent shake as bad but still has severe loss of power. Now when i turn OFF the overdrive function it dosent shake but still has a severe loss of power. I am also burning fuel way faster than the normal rate. I am at a total loss for what it could be. I have hooked a computer to it (autozone check engine light checker) and no codes. I have no idea what it could be. I think there might be a couple fowled plugs or something. Ive tried a couple cans of sea foam and no differance so now i am asking yall.

so i guess my question is what could be causing this shake and loss of power?

 

First thing to check is for clogged cats and other exhaust blockage. A muffler shop can do this.

Seafoam just aggravates this, it's known to be hard on cats. Keep that stuff out of modern engines.

 

turned out to be a bad coil pack (3rd one back on the drivers side)
