Never seen a DOHC 4V in a F-150 - just a Blackwood and that was a 5.4. Same with a P71, that's a standard 4.6 SOHC 2V with an upgraded airbox and MAF.

You will need truck manifolds and possibly some component relocation.

I'll have to pull a valve cover Wikipedia tells me it's a v code engine from the Vin plate it's a dual overhead cam 4 valve

You don't need to pull a valve cover. The 4V valve cover is about twice as wide as a 2V. And the spark plugs are in the center of the valve cover.

"V" code VIN is different depending on the specific vehicle. If it's a 09 P71, it's a 2 valve 4.6 with a modified airbox and MAF. That's all it came with, no other options.

Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor 2004–2011 250 hp (186 kW) and 297 lb·ft (403 N·m) Mercury Marauder Air Box and 80 mm MAF
