Air Conditioner, Cruise Control, and Rear DRL not working?

Hello!

I am having an issue with my 2002 F150 with manual transmission.

All of these things are not working and they all happen to be on the circuit for fuse #5 under the dash. Logic points to the fuse as the problem, but it does not appear to be blown?

Any suggestions/insight?

Thanks in advance!

Have you removed the fuse and tested it with an ohmmeter? Better yet, have you replaced the fuse anyway?

Check the fuse socket pins, while you're at it. They sometime stretch open and can't make contact with the fuse's spade terminal.

I did change the fuse just to be safe, still nothing. I found that one of the wires underneath was cut last time we raised our spare tire, so that solved the running lights, but still no AC or CC.

The AC blows, but does not get cold, simple as recharging it?

The CC, I have no idea. All the fuses seem fine, just odd that they both stopped working at the same time, I was hoping they were connected in some way.

Thanks again!

Have you had the cruise control recall done? If so, the inline fuse in the recall harness may be blown. Inspect your disconnect switch for brake fluid leakage.

It may not be as simple as a recharge - something may be preventing the compressor from engaging.

If your backup lamps work, then fuse F5 is fine.

FYI, DRL only operates the front headlamps, nothing in the rear of the truck.

projectSHO89 You seem to be the man with answers. I'm having the same issue. Both my AC and CC went out at the same time. They would randomly start working again then randomly stop. Now the have stopped for good. Where should i start?

Am I supposed to guess what you're working on or am I supposed to assume that your vehicle is identical to the one previously discussed.

I ain't psychic.

Love your humor. It's a 98, automatic Ford F150 4x4. Thx for your time.

Both the speed control and the AC rely on power via fuse F5 under the dash. Start there.

Check the POWER at and through the fuse. Also, see comment in post #3 above.
