Lightbulb intermitant oil pressure gague problem

I have a 2000 F-150 with 4.6 and auto 2wd. On ocasion the oil pressure gage sweeps and somtimes wont come on till the truck is warm. I am tired of freaking out every time this happens. I recently installed new battery, which solved spedo sweeping. Does this truck have a fuel cut off relay if there is reely no oil pressure?any body have a suggestions.

Replace the pressure sender switch. They're notorious for failures.

Oil Pressure Gauge

I have an 01 F150 Super Crew. Changed the oil changed the oil pressure sensor and my oil pressure gauge pigs at the top all the time since i got the truck. What would cause it to go straight to pigged at the top of the gauge from when its put into drive?

Did it peg high before you changed the sensor? I'm assuming it did or you wouldn't have changed it. What projectSHO89 said.
